I've been looking at the black .22's for a while , decided on the SR 22 for the non-restricted status, reliability and parts availability , wanted one in the worst way.
In the end though I bought a Ruger 10-22 Tactical Stainless today from Frontier.
Slightly longer (2") barrel
folding adjustable stock with a cheek rest you can adjust,
came with a single 10 and a 25 round steel lips mag
proper iron sights,
red dot included.
1.5 lbs lighter.
$100 less than a 10/22
I just thought it was a better value.
Hmmm, I might have the last one in stainless, the blued one still shows available.
