Hi guys,

I have an SR22 with about 600 rounds through it and am having some failure to eject problems. The empty cartridge stays in the barrel and as such, it does not feed properly. I can normally run the bolt and pick it out with my nail but it's pretty annoying. I have cleaned the gun once properly...perhaps it's just dirty and getting stuck? Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Clean the bolt face, there could be a build up of junk preventing the shell from seating properly and catching the extractor.

Best choice would be to get a better extractor, the OEM one isn't that great to begin with.

Cleaning the barrel with a .22lr brush is fine, but if it is used much it really becomes too small to clean the chamber well at all.

Using a bunch of solvent and a new brush in the chamber may help.

As was mentioned cleaning the bolt face and under the extracto with a nylon brush(toothbrush) will probably help as well.

Taking out the extractor may reveal more crud underneath it which can also lead to less than ideal extraction.

.22's can be really dirty, and that gunk builds up pretty fast.

one more for a VQ extractor, and check the strength of the bolt spring(or whatever its properly called) vs your chosen ammo. If the ammo is lower powered, and the spring is strong, the ammo can't cycle the action well.

If you want to use lower power ammo, get a weaker spring, or use some ammo with more pop.
