Ruger SR22 semi auto rimfire availability in Canada

Anybody know if these can be purchased here?? I'm looking for a semi auto Pistol to replace another rimfire...and this seems to me that it might fill the bill...Otherwise I'll be looking for a Smith 17.....Just wondering folks.

Hmm, just checked Ruger's site...Seems it has a 3.5 inch barrel...Guess we're sol.....Too bad it's a nice looking little pistol.

Failing that check out a Browning 1911/22...light weight, reliable and small. It may take several trips to the range to get used to the sights and trigger but because it is not a burden in the range baggage it will make the trip more often.

I handled the SR22 at a gun show in the U.S. It was much smaller than I expected, but it was pretty nice though. You could see about getting it imported and re-barrelled, if you don't mind the pinocchio look.

other options are the M&P and Browning 1911-22 as well as Walther P22, but most people for Semi's are going to point you to the Browning Buckmark or Ruger Mark I / II / III or the 22/45
