Ruger sr22 (the handgun) vanished

For a while I was thinking of getting a nice 22lr target practice gun, and had been eyeing the ruger sr22 for sometime and just recently i was looking around the online shops in canada and its like it no longer exists, not sold out or out of stock but not even listed anymore, what happened to that model?
 
Are you thinking about the S&W M&P22 maybe? I've never seen an SR22 for sale in Canada.....they don't make one with a legal 106mm barrel.
 
ya, the SR22 has never been available in canada due to barrel length.
shame really, ive always thought it was a nifty looking plinker.

the barrel length is only 3.5" which makes it a prohibited in canada.
has to be 4.2" and longer (106mm)

You can stop dreaming now. 3.5" or 88.89mm is a prohib.
 
Well that's disappointing why was I thinking I saw it up here in Canada, must have been looking at American sites I guess, alright back to the drawing board, thanks for the heads up.
