Hi fellow Nutz, just a note for you Ruger fans out there, the long awaited ( at least by me ) SR22p is now in Canada. I just bought one today. No range time yet but it feels really good in the hand. A bit small but my whole hand fits with the mag in and will fit my kids really well. The barrel protrusion is a bit odd but legal is legal I guess.

Tnt gun works regina had it. They said most of what they had was spoken for. I have been waiting forever for this one so I hope I'm not disappointed. I'll post after the first range trip.

I assume that it is a factory barrel. Ruger model 3616 but does not appear on their sites yet. Ruger did confirm that they were releasing a Canadian compliant version. Does wolverine actually have stock @450? If so I got screwed completely at tnt.

I have been waiting for almost a year being told any day now so I didn't. Debate when I finally found one. I guess if techies can sleep on a sidewalk for three days and pay way to much for a phone I can justify getting screwed over this :)

RETRACTION! I completed the transfer this morning and was pleasantly surprised by TNT. While not quite a price match they came far more inline with Wolverine and I don't mind paying a little more if it means I have a locale shop when I need it. Quite happy with the service at any rate. I'll post after the first range trip.

I've been interested in these for some time now. Glad they've finally found their way here. One cannot have too many rimfire handgun options in which to choose from. Especially, those that are reliable.

Hello again fellow nutz. After 2 trips to the range and over 1000 rounds with only a barrel swab and no other cleaning, here is what I think of the sr22. Simply put, the most fun you can have with pants on. No failure to ejects and only a couple failure to fire. I was shooting bulk ammo of every variety so for the ftf I would blame the ammo nut the gun. I'm new to handguns so I'm sure the pistol is more accurate than I am but it shot well. I was hitting 2" steel inconsistently at 10 yards and grouping pretty consistent 3-4". I was able to pop 4" balloons out to 50 yards with a few shots at each. If I have to be critical of something it would be that the frame has no beaver tail and the hammer can pinch a bit if you have big hands and hold it high on the grip. Not a big deal, I just adjusted my grip.

Time will tell for reliability but on first impression I recommend this pistol for all around fun especially if you have a young shooter in your group.

Cheers....bowguy

Yup. Due to it's. Popularity from what I've read this was rugers answer to the market. But based on what I've read the Walther as well as the sig have both had checkered reliability. I found a few reviews critical of the sr but overwhelmingly they were positive so I went for this one. I also considered the browning 1911-22 and s&wmp22. I expect delivery of a gen 2 grand power k22s any day. I am eager to compare the two.
