Does anyone know if there is a dealer in Ontario that actually has a Ruger SR45 in stock?
apparently there are some in Canada, I've been searching for a while, been in touch with Ruger, their distributors and a whack of dealers... 5 months of looking and haven't been able to find one yet...
I don't believe there are any in Canada. Unless the dealers that get them, keep them.
I guess once the dealers put a few in their own safes and finish calling their friends and family to come in and buy one. Maybe.....they'll put some out in the display case for the rest of us.![]()
when I talked to one of the distributors they said they did get them but haven't seen them for a while and everything is still hard to get out of Ruger
I emailed one dealer and got "We haven't seen any of those for quite awhile and we don't have any ETA as to when we are going to see them again"
Grouse River Outfitters shows it on their website @ $529.00 but I seriously doubt they have any on hand. (I'm actually scared to ask as I'd be likely to buy one!)

Ya.....they don't have it. They don't have much of anything listed on that website.

Well I just bought an SR 9 to play with for a while. Hopefully, this will give me an idea as to what the Ruger SR series are like to shoot so when the SR45 comes to Canada I will maybe still want one.
I got a used SR9 a few years ago; this was before they revamped/recalled them. The trigger was sort of long and springy and uneven. (I don't know How many rounds the original owner had put through it.) It began to improve, but I put a Ghost "Rocket" trigger bar in it, as well as doing some judicious polishing from a thread on the Ruger Forum (I think) and now it's much better, with a lighter pull and shorter reset. I'm told the newer ones have pretty decent triggers right out of the box so the Rocket part may not make as much of a difference. You'll love that SR9 after you shoot a few hundred rounds through it. Doing that really smooths up the trigger (or you can get a kit to fix the trigger first-I never bothered). Since the SR45 is really the same design mechanically, I'd bet that it will need some break in time as well.

Praire Gun Traders have the SR45 in stock now!
