The bold is what I have an issue with, and not just with Ruger. The drive for profit often comes at the expense of reputation and quality. Ruger has never built a top end firearm and I don't suspect they ever will.
Good catch, a slip of the fingers on the keyboard. It has been corrected.
So you're saying the Ruger had an FRT 3 years ago? Interesting.

When discussing firearms, let's keep the discussion focussed on firearms. A discussion of spelling, grammar and their effect on communication might be appropriate in OT.
It is always great when yet another rifle is marketed; it is good to have choice. Regardless of what happens in the US at the federal level, restrictions at the state level are already appearing. Maybe the Canadian market, as small as it is, will become more important to US manufacturers.

definitive. Add the price of anyone's piston rifle and I don't see the benefit, especially in Canada where parts are near impossible to find for DGI guns let alone an exotic piston syst
That's nice, it's still a design flaw. So much for cutting edge considering this issue came out with their rifle, which means they didn't know about it, didn't test it, or didn't care until it became a much larger/more common issue. Ruger doesn't make anything worth $2k sorry...

Its an AR-15 therefore it will be restricted.I'm going to start saving now, but if it ends up restricted I'll buy a Tavor instead.
The problem as I see was not that Canada would not let them in but that the US would not approve the export due to the 5.56 caliber designation, flash hider and the collapsible stock. This has now changed and as far as I know they are good to go.
