Well, I've been looking in the search engine for your impressions on the Ruger SR9, and haven't found anything.

Looks like a great gun, slim grip, reliable, good sights, great price... but does anyone own one? I'd like to read what you have to write on it, of course!

Thanks!

I dont own one but I have shot a friends and being that I am a ruger fan I have to say I did like it. It has a heavy enough slide in 9mm that it doesnt kick very badly at all and it is nice for getting back on target. The trigger was surprisingly smooth and not overly heavy. The feel in the hand was good too and it does come with different size backstraps for different hand sizes. All in all i was surprisingly impressed...for the reasonable price. I would say go for it!

Have one. Great price at just under $500. I have shot probably 500 rounds through it and I love it. Feels great in my hands, easy to shoot accurately, and the trigger is crisp but feels real good once it gets worked in.

I had one and sold it. The gun is an excellent value. Trigger, reliability, adjustable sights, price all top notch. The best thing about it I found was the small grip, it has the smallest grips of any pistol (i've had like 30 to compare). For a woman or guy who uses the small grip size it is the best choice. The 2 things I didn't like were the manual frame mounted thumb safety (not necessary on the gun and sucks if you wanna use it for ipsc production) and the trigger just felt like it made a sort of a cling noise when pulled (not a smooth cling like on a Glock:D). Trigger pull was fine.
Overall a great gun and for the price ($500 or less used) it is right up there for me with NP-22 and Glock 17, my other $500 or less price range winners.

Have handled both the black one & the OD green frame version. Nice pistols. But for me, if I was going for a polymer framed pistol in 9mm I'd be picking up a 2nd or 3rd gen Glock 17. Just a personal choice for me though.

NAA.

Just bought one for my wife. She shot one at the local range and loved it. Fits her smaller hands really well and the sights are great. Disassembly is easy but you have to watch out that the rear pin doesn't fall out. To me that seemed hoaky but thats my only complaint. GREAT guns for the money, there are better guns out there but they cost ALOT more. I would say they are the most under rated polymer guns out there and it seems they fly under the radar due to the cost

The CGN search uses "one week" along with "and newer" as the default parameters for searching. Change the second one to "and older" to go along with your search terms of "ruger sr9 and you'll get a lot of reading.

I've shot one and it shot well. Horrible feeling stock trigger though. Feels literally like I was pulling on a rubber band inside the gun. I understand there's kits to fix this though.

I also agree with the less then awesome trigger, and the take down is alittle different, but pound for pound a great gun. The adjustable sights are nice, and it is easy and lite to carry all day, and like most rugers...it just keeps going and going.

After shooting it at the range today... yeah... I think it just dropped a little lower on my list. Great value, but.. damn that trigger sucks. But, it's still kinda fun.
