just wondering if anyone is aware of any law enforcement or military in canada using or have the option of using the sr9 for a duty pistol. Reason i ask is im getting back into ppc and the cpca duty pistol lists the p series rugers but not the sr series. I contacted the chief referee and he would be fine with adding it to the list of duty pistols if i can find anyone using one. thought id ask if not i guess im shopping for another pistol, not that thats a bad thing ! l cheers

For whatever reason, Ruger semi autos have never fared well in the LE field. The original P85s were heavy and bulky as heck but to be fair they were in competition with mostly S&W semis back then, which were just as heavy and bulky.
The current crop seems quite functional. They don't sell enough to impact the Canadian LE market but maybe smaller PDs in the South use the SR9?
