Ruger SR9 using SR40 mags?

Anyone know if this is possible or anyone try to use SR40 mags with 9mm inside the Ruger SR9?

Bought an SR 9 & I woukd like to have more than 10 rnds for Zombies of course

I have the SR40 and a P89 to shoot in 9mm, to make a long story short the I tried loading 9mm in one of the 40 mags thinking I should buy an SR9 too. They won't stay in the mag unless you were to bend in the mag lips which would be legally prohibited.....

Should have bought a Sig 226, 40cal mags fit and function perfectly in a 9mm 226...
