Ruger SR9

I'm looking at buying a SR9 for my first pistol, but I am curious if it would be a good choise for competitive shooting as well. Any thoughts?

I have a shiny stainless SR-9 and use it regularly for IDPA style shooting. Honestly if CCW were ever permitted it would be my first choice.

Perhaps You may want to familiarize yourself with the test that I'm currently running on SR9.
I know that there are trigger modifications out there that will make a good trigger even better.
My pistol is bare stock and it can shoot pretty straight anyway.
Glock and S&W are probably offering more accessories, but Ruger is the cheapest of them all.

Good gun, great price, I like pretty much everything made by Ruger...I had one in OD Green but sold it due to being a poor college kid at the time. Easy to mod gun...ran about 2,500 rounds through it problem free.
