freddyfour: It is still possible to compete in non-sanctioned, club level matches, with only one revolver. The category is loosely known as "Working Cowboy". It is possible that this category may be included among SASS recognized categories in the future. There appears to be some discussion about including it.
In the meantime, if you can borrow a revolver(Usually not a problem), you can compete normally, at any sanctioned event.
I have yet to shoot at any club that won't accommodate shooters in the "Working Cowboy" category, at any of their regularly scheduled(club level) matches. So, if you show up and wish to shoot with only one pistol, I doubt anyone will complain. Your match score may not be all that great....but who cares. As long as you participate and have a good time. That's all that counts, anyway.
Hope this helps

ps: Since you're in Brant county...there are several very good clubs in the general area. Go to the OSASF website, for match details. I believe Burlington is already starting its winter indoor schedule. The outdoor summer season has just wrapped up for most others. But, you can start planning for next year.
