Ruger VBZ 22LR

I have been offered an excellent condition VBZ 22LR with a stainless heavy barrel and laminaedd stock with Burris rings for $400.

Can anyone comment on the rifle? I would use it for plinking, but would like something capable of good accuracy since it may be used to shoot small varmints.

Decent guns, the triggers are usually terrible though and might require a gunsmith to lighten up for you.....which can cost anywhere from $50 to $150 depending on who and where you get the work done.
Savage makes a nice .22 now with the accutrigger that is well under $400 new.
