Hi,

I just bought a Ruger VT(stainless/brown laminate) used and while I was cleaning it I noticed the follower interferes with the bolt when the rifle is empty, the follower seems to sit above "track" in the action for the bolt and when the bolt is cycled it pushes the follower till it hits the front of the mag well and then the follower will drop down. I own 6 other Rugers, 4 of them short action and none have that "issue". Also I noticed the follower looks the same as the one in my .223. The gun seems to cycle normally while loaded. Is this something specific to a 220 Swift Ruger or should I try to get my money back?

side note can post pics on here straight off my computer? since I have pictures.

I know its a rimmed cartridge. I own an older Remington in 220 swift and it looks the exact same as my 308 Remington i had as far as follower shape and position.

i have the same gun in 25-06. Dont have that problem.

Awesome shooter. Before you get your money back, take and get it checked at a smith. Might be something very minor, and you would be sending back a potential good shooter.

In recalling the gun, i remember the hinged plate has been replaced by a clip conversion. So i can't say for sure they dont all do that.
