Ruger x39 to AK mag kit

Anyone recommend a good accessible kit for cdns to convert the Ruger Gen2 7.62x39 to AK mags?
I would like to use 5/10 mags.

I see one on GP....both magwell and mag release made of PLA thermoplastic ( which is probably not going to last long from my readings).

I was thinking about getting a Ruger American Gen 2 and inquired with Red Deer Shooting Centre on importing one of these units since they've carried Occam products in the past. They said it would cost $670. I passed on it.
 
Ouch. I saw that one also and had the same conclusion. I agree, that is way beyond what most of us want/can spend on a conversion. Trying to find something of reasonable price and quality is a challenge for us canadians.
 
Some of the newly announced models will come set up for AK mags so I would imagine a Ruger replacement magwel might be an option down the road.
Most people swaping out the magwell go towards the AR module to run 10 round "pistol" mags.
 
I went the ar mag direction with mine and honesty think it’s the better option. 10 round xcr-l, the magazines are lower profile and lighter weight, don’t have to be curved, drop free. If you’re fine with pinned 5/10 mags why not just buy some Ruger oem magazines? Even if you already had the ak mags it would be cheaper to just buy more ruger mags than do the conversion.
 
Steiner, Do you know anyone who has used Canuck mags or such ? The site looks lame and NO contacts except for a hotmail address , but there are 'lotsa ways to pay'.
 
Buck, ...i agree that website looks lame and questionable. I posted in " chit chat about non-members" if anyone has had experience with thus outfit. No replies yet. Price looks too good also. Reddit had some comments but nothing definitive. Overall sounds risky to order.

Ungrateful, i will get the Ruger AR magwell kit in the meantime. I think i have a few xcr-l mags somewhere.

Wiskey1, i didn't consider the the AICS mags...trying to use what i have in hand.

I may consider getting the new for 2026 Ruger Scout rifle x39 in AK mag setup....may be awhile before these are available though. I need to upgrade those Ruger MIM extractors for tougher (unbreakable?) billet pieces.
