Came across an older Ruger revolver in .357.
It also is supplied with a 9mm wheel?
I didn't have much time to I suppose analize the thing.
Fair for shape, nothing really beat up, but not shiney new.
I couldn't even gamble a guess at the age.
Maybe 20-30 years old?
Anyone like to take a wild guess as to what this critter is
for model and dare I ask,................value?
There's an Enfield No2 in .38 that could go with the deal.
It's about the same shape.

Sorry fer sounding like a newbie, but I did receive me ARRRRPAL.
Dint have it back then.

I think it's the original Blackhawk.. I have a similar one and it's called the "New Blackhawk" but it's 20 years old..

Bought it used last year and in great shape for $450..

silverfox nailed it. Older Blackhawk. Rep that they never shot 9mm that well as the barrel was 357 rather then 355, but with cast they do better. Buy it if you like single action revolvers, solid gun!

The Original 3 screw Ruger Blackhawk was discontinued in 73, New Model Blackhawk came out in 74. If it was 30yrs old, it's a New Model.

Well technically it's one of the Blackhawk Convertible models since it comes with the extra cylinder. And that, of course, means it's a single action gun with an adjustable sight setup.

The barrel on these is also of an inbetween bore size of .356. It's technically too loose for 9mm jacketed bullets but a tad snug for .38Spl. As a result if you read up on the web you'll find some folks saying that the 9mm cylinder lacks for accuracy unless shooting the .001 larger cast led bullets while others say theirs shoots just fine with anything. So it's a bit of a mixed bag of a reputation.

I've got one of the New Model Blackhawk Convertibles in 357/9mil. Like Cocked & Locked said, not very accurate with the 9mil, but I'm going to try his suggestion of using oversized cast bullets

Use the heavier 9mm bullets to get the best accuracy. 147 or better works fine for me.

Gives the bullet more bearing surface, so the looser bore still grabs it hard enough to spin it. One of the only times 147 makes sense in 9. Lead bullets work a bit better then jacketed as well providing they aren't cast too hard
