The takedowns are cool and compact because they store in a small package. However, you pay for the convenience of a joint you'll very seldom need.

Bought my Ruger 10/22 TD in 2012 when they were introduced. Almost never have a malfunction even after 15k rounds. Keep it clean with a little lube and your Golden. Trigger job by a old ornery local gunsmith and a Magpul x22 stock. Best backpack gun around. Super fun

That model does not exist, have a look at the new Ragger in .34 LR.

A big advantage is being able to clean the barrel without disassembling the entire rifle, and without cleaning from the muzzle.

The barreled action has to be removed from the stock , in order to remove the trigger assembly, the bolt and charging handle have to be removed. Or you could just remove the barrel. Action intact. A copper 6mm brush on a angle removes carbon built from chamber, muzzle guard allows a rod to be inserted without damage. Rag in the magwell collects the debris . Or use a pull through.
