Ruining match primers with lube

Have 200 .308 Winchester match brass already primed.
Will be resizing to .358 Winchester. The RCBS sizer is a full length sizing die and I have to lube the case to complete the transition. Using RCBS Case Slick I'm scared it might get into the primer and ruin it. Any ideas?

Have used this product in the "pump" spray version for quite a while now and on several occasions have , errantly primed some cases before resizing them.

I dont know what you use for a "tray" to place your brass on when you coat them with lube but....this works for me........any tray with a lip on it will work...I recycle my poly type "meat trays" (clean em first )by placing the cases all the way around the whole rim...... with bases up and necks facing down spray them from bases forward and once dry your good to go....

If you feel that this might still leave the condition of your primers supect. you could always arrange them in a row of 10, 15...your choice and place a sheet of paper or what ever you have on hand on the case tops while you spray the parts you want lubed...

There are a couple of things you can do - one is to deprime each case - the primers will push out easily. If you want to resize the case primed I would use powdered graphite for inside the case mouth, and very lightly lube the outside of the case with Imperial sizing wax. Actually, if you set the expander ball long enough, you shouldn't have to full length resize so you won't need to lube the outside of the case. Just dip the case into the powdered graphite to lube the inside of the neck, then run the case over the expander ball. As soon as you feel the expander become free of the neck and enter the body of the case, pull the handle back up. Graphite has no effect on primers.
 
Just rub a little spray on the case and spread with your fingers and use a Qtip for the inside neck, do it all the time. Push your depriming pin up some on your die so you it still sizes the neck but doesn't end up try to deprime a Live primer.

since you are resizing to a new size I would think you don't have the primer punch in that die anyhow right? if so, remove it.
as for the lube, stand them on the case mouths when you lube (spray lube) so that none goes in the case. Then like the guys above say, use either graphite or a Qtip with lube on it, to do the mouth.
 
Sometimes the Match primer is the ticket, sometimes not. They are chosen for consistency, though, so over the long haul, they should perform better than the standard counterpart. I have had loads that worked better with a primer not available in a match variety [eg WLR, WSR], so you would have to try them to actually find out. My Ruger 220 Swift works best with CCI BR-2, my 40X Swift prefers the new type WLR to all others. Go figure!! Regards, Eagleye.
 
I lube casing in a block of wood with holes drilled in it so that the cases fit in base up and neck not exposed. All the lube gets on is the taper where it is needed. I use a small brush to lube the inside of the necks. Works for me everytime. I also have 50 holes in the wood so I can do many at once.

Equipment needed: Drill press and block of wood. Drill sized just smaller than outside diameter of taper.
