Rumors of a CZ 455 replacing the 452-453

My wish list:

Make it more scope friendly, maybe a 60 degree bolt lift, and either drilled and tapped for a commonly available weaver mount or a built in weaver mount. No more 11mm or 3/8" BS.

Nicer trigger guard. The 452/453 one works but looks cheap. If they can make a trigger as nice as tuned one, count me in.

Having all actions use 2 screws is a good thing. It will permit stock builders to build a stock and know it will fit. That should get the aftermarket involved more.

Make some available in stainless.

A barrel change system like Savage would make sense from a manufacturing standpoint and permit us to switch calibers easily.

Use the same magazines as the current 452/453. Maybe some stainless magazines?

My dream gun ( currently ) is something like a stainless sweet 16 with a synthetic stock and iron sights.

I just bought a 452 a couple of days ago. Seems whenever I buy a rifle it shortly afterwards is discontinued.

Kimber SVT
Winchester M70
Remington XR-100

yeah I bought one on friday, I was thinking the same thing.

I don't think that either of you will be disappointed with your purchases. I know that I have no regrets.

I've been planning to get a CZ Style for my next gun, since I want a good bolt rimfire with the stainless look. (I know the style is nickel plated.) I wonder how this will affect the rest of the 452 lineup.

If they can speed-up the lock-time, reduce the bolt-lift and come-up with an excellent 2-stage trigger *cough*copy of 50.18*cough* then they could dominate.
I'd pay a $400 premium over the current models for one with those improvements.

The 455 and the 452 are both still on the website, and the 455 has an MSRP slightly lower then the the 452. So I'd image pricing is set, and it will be similar to the old models.

Arg. I just went looking at 452's today. Of course, Le Baron's didnt have any 452 Lux's in stock, so I didnt get one.

Finally decided on the 452, and now I need to decide if I am going to wait for the 455 or not.
