Picked this up in a package deal the other day, Long Branch Sporter 2 groove, 1943, Looks like parker hale did it? stamped on the barrel anyways. Rear sight looks like a EAL sight. What are these going for these days?(Ballpark is fine) bore is good, Overall shape is decent, Looks like it might have some black paint on it.

Looking at other classifieds, around $400 maybe

well good points is the barrel is not cut, I cant tell if its the original barrel or not but I sort of suspect that it might be.

other positives is that is has a mag and the rear sight was not milled away.

basically it was minimally sporterized which is a plus

I would agree the $400 seems to be the current asking price.

Good to know, I think I'll put a proper sight on and keep the EAL sight, I've come across a few that were missing the proper rear sight, although this one isn't re stamped for the yardage.

If the proper Long Branch parts were available your rifle would be a wonderful candidate for restoration. It has the proper sight, the barrel is untouched, and it would be a lovely project. I've had the pleasure of restoring 3 Long Branch Lee Enfields in the years long past. At that time properly stamped LB parts could be sourced without too much trouble. Now, not so much.
