Running low on x39...

Ya, just like the "French Ticklers" have been Out of stock, then 're-appear' a couple weeks later with MUCH higher prices ! Maybe some importer is 'juggling stock' for extra profit ?
The 223 is a good price - 85c + tax for SP - anything under $1 is a good thing these days. Luckily I stocked up at 50c a few years ago. Wish I'd bought even more . . . The Barnaul SP was pretty accurate in my Ruger 223 the last time I was out. And Chinese MS is quite accurate in x39, too.

RRH - You're right - I didn't look at the stamps, too tiny on my screen. That's a shame for 70c . . . but you get a free plastic can  Same price as Cab when on Sale.

The link you posted to cz stv look like brass cased though, not the steel scorpios listed on tenda - which yes look a lot like non-corrosive Norinco now it’s pointed out. I guess they also rebrand and resell.

Hard to find a decent non-corr for less than a dollar a round.

morp - You're right. The STV site shows Scorpio x39 that looks like brass, and Doesn't 'list' any 300-rnd plastic cans. It does list "surplus' in x39 but they're in 500-rnd cb-boxes. The STV site doesn't indicate where the 'surplus' is from, either. Maybe someone has been re-packaging those into cans ? F-n crooks not indicating they are 'surplus' in those 300-cans. I'd question if they're Non-C as well.

Not the best price, but Herter’s (Winchester) brass cased soft points on partial sale at $30/box at Cab’s right now. Flat rate $15 shipping..

Also just saw S&B SPs on sale for $27/box at tenda..

My SKS is collector grade and doesn't see corrosive. I will keep looking around. A couple of gun shows next month in my neck of the woods

Well, good luck with that. May I ask how shooting corrosive ammo will damage or destroy your SKS - when you clean it after? I am pretty certain that many years ago some Rusky already shot corrosive ammo out of your "collector grade" SKS.
