"Running of the V-Bulls" F-Class Match Kamloops 23-24 Oct

Ian, I'll also be there at noon to help out in any way. I'll be glad to enter the team shoot thing, but I'm iffy on the restaurant idea.
Can you arrange for the clubhouse trailer to be unlocked Friday? I'd like to put my bedroll in there again as I did for the Farky. Snug, dry, and not a tent. What's not to like? :D

Absolutely!

Glen, I am still having to answer for the last time you tried this while I had my back turned. It is not so bad when you are on top of Piper, but when Piper tried to shoot on top of you, he broke a few blood vessels in your eyes, and you didn't shoot very well.

Also, I draw the line and not wearing pants. That was just plain wrong on so many levels.

I had a COMPLETELY different scenario in mind when I mentioned TEAM SHOOTS.

Clubhouse should still be open Steve. If it's not I will be there sometime after 3 to unlock it. Have to get my trailer hooked up and drag it down to the range.

Ian, the number boards will have to be put back up so u might want to have radios and ur post pounder to drive the posts in along with tie wire to tie the boards to the posts.

Please see post #1 regarding optional fun team shoot info

I have added some info regarding the optional fun team shoot to post #1. For those who are curious...

A team shoot consists of 4 people per team. Each member of the team will shoot 10 rounds + 2 optional sighters. As a team, you are free to coach each other, you are free to shoot pairs, strings, whatever you like. Basically, you have 45 minutes for you and your team members to get your shots down range.

The team with the highest score out of 200 - 40V will be the winning team! This is an incredibly fun way to shoot, as you can do whatever you like to help your fellow shooter, you can use whatever batting order you like and you can use coaches. In the event of a tie, there will be a sword fight to the death. Ok, maybe not. There will be a shoot off between two team members (one from each team) to see who's single shot hits closest to a sticker placed on the 500M target.

I would like to have this on Saturday, but if things drag on too late, we may opt to move this to Sunday, where we have only two match relays.

The cost will be $10.00 per shooter and the prize for the winning team will be 4 bottles of the best grape extract I can find at the Chase Cold Beer, wine and antifreeze boutique. (ok, maybe not the best bottles... but I guarantee the blindness will not be permanent) Please bring along an extra 12 rounds for the team shoot!

sure hope we have time for this.

Sounds like a hoot.

are you going with what Richard suggested of 1 shooter from each class put together or just form your own?

In case Ron Shewchuk doesn't get through to you, he will be shooting in FTR.

Blake Simpson is in F open.

If possible, please squad myself, Ron and Blake on the same target as we will be sharing gear and it just saves having to carry it around.

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

We will have no "ringer" teams, the Undefeated KTSA Bullz-Hitters have agreed they will allow themselves to be broken up for this engagement. I may do the teams by draw, but I'll canvass the crowd on game-day to see how they would like it to be done.

...and, this will happen! if not Saturday, definitely Sunday.

As to squadding, definitely. Suff like this is good to know. Likewise, I will be sharing my stuff with 3 other people.

See ya there!!

Shoot and Dinner

I am interested in a team shoot if it happens Saturday I have to head out Sunday after the shoot to get back to the coast at a decent hour have to work on Monday:mad:
Ian any dinner plans for saturday night ?

Can a guy ( potential newbie ) just show up and watch to see what goes on ?

ruger4, if you can make it on Friday afternoon, you'd be welcome to try out my .308 once I've got it sighted in. I bring extra ammo just for times like this.
Kinda like a street corner drug dealer: "The first one's free, kid." :D

sounds good stevebc and others , appreciate the invites , am going to try my best to get there

Ruger4, I hope you can come out and check it out! I always bring a second gun and some ammo, but this year, 3 of our brand new shooters will be using rifles of mine, and I am out of guns that are dialed-in for F-Class!!

I will have some ammo with me on the Friday afternoon and i will be zeroing all of my rifles; you would be MORE than welcome to come on out and we can not only let you shoot, but we will be wrapping up a work party, so you can see the targets, the butts and the nitty gritty details of how the sport works.

In addition to shooting, on Friday we will all do a short stint pulling targets.

If you are able to be at the range for 2:00 on Friday, we will get you acquainted and you will get the full-on introduction to F-Class shooting, plus you will get to meet several shooters - both experienced, and brand new!

I'm planning a work day in Kamloops on the friday ;)

If you can make it up on Friday, I should have a few extra rds you can send down range.

As I mentioned, it is highly addictive fun...

Jerry

Oh I thought you were talking about me shooting your gun.....Jerry

And Ruger theres a possible chance with all the other guns you could shoot that I would let you try a good 6 BR as well.

Due to phasing out of F Open, I have precious little to load but I will see what I can do to have some extra rds to fire.

Ruger, by the time we are through, you will have that silly grin that wives worry about :welcome:

Love to know when the range will be open too.

EDIT: Looks like Ian will be there at 2pm.....

Jerry

I just had a quick look at the forecast...................says something about..........Rain? Tell me it ain't so.
Cheers, Glen

This is going to be my first F-Class match. I am so excited to meet everyone and to find out if this sport is for me. I think meeting and talking with all of you will be just as fun as the shooting. I'd sure love to try a few different rifles on Friday for practice, if that is okay with some of you. Thank you to Ian for all his encouragement in coming to the match.
