Russian Ammo Spam Cans

This may sound stupid but I have two all metal spam cans of ammo and no indication as to how to get into them. It should be obvious and easy but for the life of me I can't figure it out? Help

there should be a pull wire on the can, or can opener type deal with them to crack them open, other than that, the metal of the cans shouldn't be too hard, so any number of tools should be able to crack open that can of fun. Just be careful that if you use any power tools (angle grinder, etc) that you cut very carefully and don't get any sparks into the can, that would be bad.

If its the same stuff I just opened, the opener should be attached to the underside of the wood lid.
