Another source of 14.5mm has gone down the drain. CONJAY has every type of 14.5mm under the sun, API, APIT, HE etc. And they are willing to ship, not that helps much either. But, alas, they don't have plain old ball.

Not much call for it, when the other stuff is around.

Way too big to form from anything that is available.

BTW does anyone have a WWII Soviet round? Were they brass or steel?

They were Brass

I have brass dated up to thr '70's after that most of the cases are steel and '80's dated.

The rounds I have are all brass, Egyptian from I think the fifties. Looking at them they seem to be a necked down 2cm flak shell without the belt.

Was there not some talk of 50 Cal subcaliber insert used in the PTRD I do not know about the PTRS.
