If wood is missing ou can do this way: sand some hidden area of the stock to get wood dust; mix it with shellac to get a thick paste and apply immediately; let dry a few hours, then lightly sand flush with the stock; apply a couple thick coats of shellac and you're done.

i have done that before with deep dents but this gouge is missing wood, i think i have to use some sort of filler , not sure tho .

An alcohol wipe would blend the scatches - not much can be done with a gouge though....never found a filler that blends good enough.
