Russian Black Widow SKS (kinda) without the tacticool

I had a hankering to experiment with stock finish and bayo finish. So I took this one out of cosmoline, blued the buttplate, bolt carrier, removed chrome plating off bayo and blued it too. Then refinished the stock going for a blacked out look but with some style. I think I will name her Black Sonja...

Birchwood Casey Perma Blue. I heated the parts first. Seemed to work well. Three coats each part.


Yes I am pleased with how the stock turned out. In fact the pics don't do it justice. In the light it looks almost holographic as you move the stock around.
