Russian capture vs Yugoslav k98

I bought a M24/47 Yugo from Marstar a few years back, and it is essentially a brand new 8mm Mauser. (New barrel installed in 1947). Shoots awesome too!

The Yugo rebuild K98k's generally have such nice bores because the had new barrels of Yugo manufacture installed as part of the rebuild. They have an excellent reputation as accurate barrels.

Personally I like the RC's better because of the history and more WW2 parts left intact but the Yugo's are much nicer condition wise on average. It's possible to find RC's with mint bores as well though if you like having the waffenamts and German barrel code, etc.

The Yugoslavian referbished K98 rifles were used with iron sights in their federal civilian marksmanship program in the 300m category.
