Just got my M38 and along with the usual goodies, it came with a 4page pamphlet. Has anybody bothered to translate what it says into English? I tried but the translator I used don't seem to help very much. I'd like to know what it says for curiousity sake. Anybody? :confused:

One came with mine to...I would love to know what it says.

It is, red rifles all have these. There is an SKS site on the net that has a translation of the Yugo version for an SKS. The Yugo revision includes an armour's checklist for the annual inspection as well. One of the interesting things was that the gun was to be cleaned.....annually!
 
it's M38 which has been refurb for Russian civilian market as a hunting carbine.


Quick translation:

1. Usage of the carbine
Hunting carbine model KO-38 - 7.62x54R caliber - is built for hunting animals whose are allowed for hunting in the areas with mild and cold climate with temperatures from -50C to +50C


2. is specs and 3. is what was included. 4. says that used carbine has been refurbished on MOLOT factory and it is up to standards and safe to shoot.


it's funny that in specs last line says that has longevity is 2000 rounds. I bet M38 can last more then just 2000 rounds.

Ya, according to the translator its a passport for a to-38, its also an inspection certificate. Didn't know a rifle needed a passport too. Thk
