Well I took my 1931 nagant pistol to the range for the first time. Had it for years just had never shot it yet. I read that it will shoot 32 S&W which is a little cheaper than the proper ammo.

I would suggest you stay away form using 32S&W ammo, as the shells do fit, they are a little loose. I found that the shells all bulged and many even split down the side of the casing after firing them.

Anyone else try 32S&W ammo in them and experience the same?

My Nagant work great with 32 S&W Long

Yes I was aware of that, I believe they are a little long and have to be trimmed down. Have not tried it as of yet.

You can also buy the lead and brass from tradex and load the proper rounds for the pistol.

I find though the pistol is not that much fun to shoot as the double action is extreme something like 18 pound pull. I had to shoot it in single action.

You probably know the details better than I do already but I know some people use modified 32-20 brass with success in their Nagant's.

32 magnum fits as well apparently. I read online case bulging is the problem with shooting 32 S&W and 32Mag in a nagant. But it can be done.
