This is on the barrel of a S&W No3. Can anyone translate? Anyone seen one like it before?

Yes I've seen it before. The rest of the barrel marking after the eagle should be a L over II in a oval.

This is made by Ludwig Loewe, under license from S&W. The Cyrillic translates to Loewe's makers marking.

Just so you know the ludwig russian copy is as well made and as collectable as and orignal S&W Russian model.
I think even more so as theres less of them around the ones with that type of barrel address even more so.
Ive had one german made ludwig it was as good as any S&W. sometimes when peoiple here copy they think cheep thats not the case here.
