Russian Saiga rifles

A quick question, when back in the UK I owned several Russian Saiga AK47rifles out of the Izhmash factory, these had been modified to single bolt action for the UK market but the rifles wew very well made and finished.
Are they available in Canada even in either semi auto or bolt action.

AK variants are prohibited in Canada.


Besides, who'd want a single shot AK? There are so many nicer semi autos available.

Its the semi I would like, it seems strange that you can buy the sks and other semi's like AR15'S yet the mere mention of AK and the doors close, It would seem to be the victim of political correctness and and racial abuse on the rifle front perhaps if were built in Canada then things would be different.

No, they would still be prohibited if made in Canada. ALL AK variants are prohibited, even some that are not actually variants. The only exceptions are a few Valmets.
