And everyone can just hold of on recipe suggestions as well. There's a long way yet to go, before any crows get plucked and the table set. A very, very long way to go.

If I remember correctly, at the end of the LGR, there was approximately 30,000 Russian SKS and about half that for Chinese SKS. As of today, that number could be substantially more. If you go check the number of guns per capita by country, Canada is now #7. Back in 2014, Canada was 16th. Back then, the number of guns in Canada was a few million less.

Most of the pre C68 SKS never made it into the registry. Compliance was estimated to be 30% by some gun groups. So the ones in the registry were probably all imported after the registry started. SKS were flying off the shelves in the dark days prior to C-68 implementation. :)

Bear in mind, conservative figures from several sources on how many long guns were actually registered into the Long Gun Registry (which is now abolished) ranged from 17% from some firearms orgs to 80% from the government.....

IMHO, the lower value from firearms orgs is likely more accurate than the Goverments “official” number. I also know of waaaaaay more fellas with NR firearms that were never registered, than fellas with NR firearms that are no longer registered. But that also has something to do with the the mindset of the fellas in the province I reside....

I know of many “pre-C68” SKS’s that we’re never registered, not that that matters now..... They are easy to tell-apart from the post C68 rifles as their magazines are not neutered.

I will now slink off to the corner and continue to Lurk in the shadows as I have nothing else to add to this conversation. All my SKS’s are “bubba’d”......

Cheers!
