I got tired of waiting for SIR and with the new SIR price of $214 it all worked out the same in the end. $40 shipping tho - Ouch.

I have 2 so far (both shooters), and whenever Cabella's gets their shipment in I will have one more, but I would really like to get one that is matching. I have my name on a few lists (from the IZH shipment), so we will see what happens.

Like I said in a previous post, I called all over western Canada searching. Thank goodness for my Shaw phone account...free long distance.
BWEST did you ask him for anything specific? I asked for ones with gold bayonets. I got the last 2. He was great to deal with. $40 for shipping is better than waiting for SIR/Cabellas.
My first one is laminated. I plan on striping it with Circa 1850 giving it a nice smooth sanding, coating it with Bircwood Casey's stock sealer and finishing it off with linspeed oil.
This should make a sweet finish.
--- I dealt with another fellow Yesterday, gommee, ------- what I asked for, is to ask , Rod when he got in today , is that I wanted the Best selection with All matching numbers, bright bolt etc; , and it was wrapped and in the process of getting shipped when I talked to him today, as far as the gold bayonet, --- I forgot to ask. wasn,t on my list of things to ask about. But I did get a Very, Very Nice 1950 Tula, all matching, right parts, spring loaded firing pin etc; with a golden bayonet, it does have a Laminated stock put on it, but the whole rifle looks like it was made yesterday, no wear on parts and the barrel is Mint !!! But not chrome as its a /50. It may or may not have been fired, not sure, but if it has , Very, Very Little Ware. I got it from Frontier, was on their list since Jan. 2/ 08. A Long wait, but it payed off

Just ordered one early this morning with Rod, matching #s, bolt and carrier in white; had 5 left at the time of my order. Called again in the afternoon to double check, goes in the mail tonight, so it will be with me probably on Fri..
I actually called yesterday and the guy I was talking to (Rod was off) said they have about 100 of them?!
If this is true, hurry to order until they last.

My first one is a laminate 55/56 that is located on post 3974. When the next 2 come in, I will clean them up and post pictures. They should be here Thursday or Friday. For $40 shipping each, I should expect them tomorrow.
