Russian SKS45 long thread.

Val, here is what is new: Norc M4/ CQ 5.56 ! Way more cool than the SKS and half the weight. Worried about ammo cost ? .22 conversions are available.

not many , only 19 .

frontier: Back In stock!!! We have received a limited supply of Russian SKS rifles. We currently have 8 Non-Refurbished / Unissued Rifles with gold colored bayonet and all matching serial numbers. The remaining 11 are refurbished rifles. These are IZH import with no import markings and the original bolts do not have any of the black baked on finish as seen with previous orders.

Non refurbished / Unissued $309.95 Plus Shipping SOLD OUT

Refurbished $279.95 Plus Shipping

If I was an importer with a large supply of whatever in my storage, to keep the prices up, I would distribute them in small numbers, like 19 or 12 or 30 ......

I don't want to shoot my frontier virgins, so I bought an all matching refurb from Home Hardware, Yorkton. This is to be my "shotter". I have a Norc with a peep sight, so this one got a scope. Took three shots to get it semi-zeroed.

But trigger was crappy. I took the trigger guard off and knocked out the pin holding the latch at the front of the triggerassembly. This allowed me to slide out little block thingy (sear?). I polished this up a bit and then smeared it with non-imbedding lapping compund and reinstlled it. After stroking it back and forth about 30 times, it ook it out and washed all compound off block and rails. Then lubed with moly grease and then I put back together.

Result is a long pull, but very smooth. Good enough for a shooter.

I am debating taking the black paint of bolt and carrier.
