the 250's,500's, 750's are for amateurs.

Takes a pro to nail a triple Zero!

We will get there, my friend, be a believer.

We should, though, make it a little more challenging. Something like: Let's try to make sure every post from now on has at least one of the following keywords in 'em:

SKS, Russia, Customs, Gob'mint, SIR, Frontier, Epps, 7.62, CFC, delay, ridiculous, cancel. :D

I am already a confirmed pro. Willing to help others though!

Could somebody, who purchased an un-issued one from Epps post a picture here, or they are too ugly to be shown:confused::confused:
I'm at sea right now and would like to see, what I purchased.:D

P.S. Guaranteed, some smart a*s will post a picture of a beaten piece of junk, just to be funny...But, really, would somebody share a pic of their new and shiny un-refurbed SKS???

i talked to marlin today.he said they're shipping around the 2nd week of january.it dosen't look like there's going to be any hand select collector grades, the 1 i ordered.they are all supposed to be good condition.they're coming from baikal, not bell.some stores have a special permit to pin mags,he didn't,so they had to be sent back to the distributor for pinning...

I'll post pictures up of my non-issued once I get it. It's already been shipped out to me, should be here Tuesday of next week :D.

Stoked.

Well I took a little side trip,to Epps today. Seems these SKSs are coming from two different distributors.

All of the guns were shipped as refurbs. Epps did not know what they had until they opened the crate. All of the ones from this distributor sell for $279 with the goodies,un-refurbed or not. I looked at a couple of the refurbs from this group. All were forced, bolts, mags and stocks. The bolts were not black though. This is the distributor that Frontier is using. So Frontier might just get some of the un-refurbs too. Epps says their next shipment is in January, but they will not start a back-order list for the un-refurbed ones. Because they do not know if they'll be getting any more or not. All of the ones left from this group have too short of a serial number,so they are not walking out and must wait for further scrutiny by CFC. This is probably what happened on Saturday also.

As for the other group. No goodies, but sell for $225. The one I saw was a 1955 or 56 Tula, all matching numbers, laminate, black bolt, looked brand new. But they claimed was a refurb.

Laminated stock and black is the signs of a refurb. No worries though, because refurbs are good as new. They did very good jobs of refurbing these rifles.
