Russian SKS45 long thread.

I was in Cabela's this afternoon (business trip) and the word today (as I recall) was the original supplier in Russia fell through and they have another batch of 2000 lined up to come in. Still original price though...$179.

I'm told that they have a schwack of ammo in too, but need to finish processing before they can release it for sale.

Saw the schwack load of ammo today. Crates of 1120, I believe there are $200.
 
Well we are still awaiting the same answer that you are, but we have been told it could be anytime now we are awaiting clearance from the shipper and customs so it’s a wait wait game for now, but thank you for the email.

Just got the following email today from Cabelas/SIR on the status of the SKS's.
 
The update i got from Frontier is that the second shipment ($225) have had the mags pinned, and are awaiting the CFC to inspect. They told me mid December they expect them to be ready for shipping. The First batch ($179??) ones are still in customs somewhere. So the second batch clears first, but you pay little more.
 
I've purchased two SKS-D's so to speak in the last 2 months, for not that much more that the new russian SKS's coming in, even though I have two on Order with SIR for the 169.95$ price as described when I put in the order with them, there coming & I have nothing but time & other toys to play with in the meanwhile!!!!!
