I didnt see any at proline last time I was there, and WSS was $200 when I got some there a few weeks ago.... I cant think of anywhere else that might sell it in Calgary though (although people tell me of this mystical gun shop on Mac Trail, that they can never remember the name or address of, and I cant find in any phone book)

Russels and Canadian Tire on Mac trail have guns - was just in Russels and didn't notice any 7.62 surplus

I cleaned it and I am going to post more pics soon. I too it to the gun store and Brian says it looks like it really hasn't been shot. Which is what I thought too. It really is loverly! But I am superficial and I wish it was not a forced match. LOL.
 
I'm curious about chrome & non-chrome bores. The 2 1951 Tula's I got from Frontier appear to have non-chrome bores. Which is more rare? Desirable?

I slugged both rifles & they have .311 bores. Is this normal? The handloads I have made used 124gr Speer 7.62(.310) bullets. I'm wondering how this will effect accuracy.

Well I found a cpl. in my neck of the woods, seem to be from Bell. I was not to impressed, I only looked at one rifle once I saw how it was pinned. Had some sort of spacer welded in, and what looked like two dimes welded on top of the spacer :confused:

I took a pic with my phone, but now I cannot find my dam mini sd adapter to get the pic in the computer. :mad:
 
Did everyone else have trouble getting on here? It was awful. I missed you all... lol
I saw pics of the bell mag monstrosity. It's awful. I wouldn't want one. But probably a lot harder to get rid of. Not that any of us would do that because that would be illegal and just naughty in general.
 
I FINALLY GOT MY SKS, MINT, 1940's experimental, all matching!!!




















And by SKS, I mean an empty hole in my heart, because I haven't received mine yet.
