Russian SKS45 long thread.

WSS just raised their magnum cartridges $30 to $40 per box. I have a beautiful rifle that at $4 per shot ($80 per 20 from $50) will be sitting until I find another supplier or can find some brass. Nothing like rape and pillage the people.

Russell's is an expensive place to shop.

I stopped by our sponsors shops here but none of them carry my ammo. Most people here are PO'ed and think the new Bass Pro when it opens will be the end all be all.

We will see.

Well I was on a quest for SKS's today in Calgary, lots of i do not know and quoting high prices. I have a laminate on the way from Frontier, but I was hoping to find a hand select. By me...LOL

From everything I've read, Bass Pro wont have any hand guns or hand gun ammunition though, which is too bad.

Fortunately another non-sponser in Black Diamond (combat masters) manufactures handgun ammo, and I bought a case of 147gr 9mm from them a couple weeks ago :)

Got these today. Having a bugger of a time finding my dremel tool to get that gold crap off the bayo. Got some Tapco stocks to stick em in. The Tapco stocks have no bayo slot, so will have to cut the lugs off the barrels to get them to work proper. My buddy will turn the bayos into some hunting knives when I get them all polished up. He has some nice oak from an old staircase to make the handles. The rifles have not been fired, so they will be extra accurate with my laser sights.

I thought that would screw people up for a few seconds! Lol! I am pretty darn happy with these rifles! Got a shooter model coming from Frontier, so these will sit in the safe as my collector pieces as I can not bring myself to degrease and fire them.

I am a monster. Called the local shop and asked if they had any golden bayo SKS's. Owner said he had one wierd one. I went and picked it up. 1953 non-refurb golden bayo. Fired very little (a wee bit of carbon on the face of the gas piston). In outstanding shape! Its the top one!

--- Yup, --- sorta like a bunch of women at a Shoe Sale !!!!! ------- Gots Love It !!! :D

I think I finally understand that feeling. I come home all excited about a bunch of greasy rifles, telling her all the little details. She doesn't care. Reminds me of when she comes back from shopping and shows me all the shoes and clothes she bought and tells me about the brand names. I don't care.
