Russian SKS45 long thread.

You're never done, because once you knock a few off the list, a few more fall back into their places, thus a neverending want list.

So I just got my 55/56 refurb torn apart. I am 99% sure it was never fired after refurbishing. It looks like brand new inside. The gas piston is brand new im pretty sure (shiny clean and electro # to match) Its awesome!

PS: Where do you guys lube when you re-assemble. Gs piston and firing pin stay dry right? Thanks

Too funny, that's what my GF says.

my GF says "you have a lot of guns" but anytime I look at buying more she says "well you like them, so you might as well" and in some cases I have to be my own voice of reason, like when I showed her the T97 and she said "that looks awesome you should buy it" (I decided to not buy it)

don't fall for it. oldest trap in the book.

Well, I am getting a new chihuahua pup.... I think... Preparing to go into battle for it... So no gun this month. But he is soooooooo tiny! I figure I'll make him into my hunting dog. Should end up under 3 lbs. He could retrieve.... um, bugs maybe? But on another not he will be good for studding out. $300 for a few hours of his time= more guns for me!!! And he is soooooooooooo cute. (I may be a gun junkie but I am still a girl) Teehee!!!!

you could train him to pick up ejected casings, and pile them up for you :p

Yes, gas system and firing pin should be dry. Your firing pin should move freely and rattle inside the bolt when shaken. You do not want to oil it because it will attract all kinds of crap and get gummed up, which could cause a slam fire.

I like that idea.... Hmmm and I will have 4 of them. That would be great! I would never have to sweep them up again. lol. I could train a bunch and sell them. Make them the new trendy thing for shooters. Make some cool "man bag/dog purses" Hmmmm. Anyone wanna make an order??? Lol.
