Russian vs Chinese SKS but plate?

Can any one confirm for me if a "Chinese" (military or norinco?) SKS but plate will fit a Russian SKS?

The spring in the trap door for my Russian SKS came rusted out. I may be able to get a "Chinese" but plate, if it would fit.

There's two types of Russians. One has a tit on top of the stock,the other one is straight.

if you have a solid birch then it will fit but if your plate isnt badly rusted then why not just replace the trap door and still retain the original plate ?

Replacing just the trap door would work, the but pad is not too bad.
But I can see it appears to have been painted or rust under the paint as it has started to chip off in a few places. So it will probably get much worse as it goes through some usage and cleanings.
Its the only flaw on the gun so i would not mind getting one that looks good.

Ok it's a refurbed laminate. So it will have the straight buttplate.
