I have yet to see a Russian SKS shoot more accurately than the Chinese version with those markings (sandbagged and benched). I have seen some come close but never be a clear winner in that department. Not to say there are not ones out there that can but in the 7-8 head to head trials we did for grins and giggles, the Chinese version would always be 0.5 to 1.0 MOA tighter.
I have to admit, a newer Russian or one in great condition takes the prize for looks and appearance.
My buddy has had his Ruski SKS for at least 10 years and has never cleaned it after at least 2000 rounds of various ammo.
When his firing pin gets stuck in the bolt and he has a negligent discharge of four extra rounds full auto, he'll rethink that whole cleaning thing.
