......Got em both!
In my new used rifle. Everything on the outside of the rifle (old-ass husq.) is....fine I guess, a bit of blu worn thin. I took the barrel off to give everything a once over and a wicked cleaning. That's where i found em. On the underside of the barrel, nestled away under the forend. Two concentrated dime sized spots of pitting coated with really crumbly dry rust. I think i can deal with the rust and rebluing, but about the dime sized pitting? Any suggestions? Do i just clean it up, or is there a way to fix the pitting (ie: can it be polished or sanded away) without taking it to the smith's?...(Oh, and incidently who do you guys like for smiths in Edmonton area?)
Thx.
