Rust removal

I have just picked up a sweet little antique Webley RIC...
Seems to be in good shape, apart from some 'nasty' rusting inside the firing pin hole, hammer slot in the frame, etc.
Apart from good old steel wool are there any other suggestions for eliminating this nasty 'oxide'?

Rust scabs can be scraped off with a brass scraper. If brass smears result, bore cleaner will remove them. Keep in mind that when all actual rust is removed, pits will remain because metal is gone.

Rust removal....

Try a tube of "Blue Wonder". This product will remove rust but will NOT remove bluing. I use it constantly for exterior and interior. I also use it for badly mucked bores. Follow directions and I use "0000" steel wool to remove it and the rust. Dave
