This too. I use paste wax to treat some metal parts and hold off corrosion. I even used it in my powder hoppers and no more powder static cling.

I had two RCBS die sets that sat for over ten years without being used. When I went to use them again they had a light surface rust so I disassembled them and put the body of the dies in my vibratory case cleaner. I let them tumble over night in new treated walnut media and they came out looking better than new.
Kroil will eat/dissolve rust.
Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish will remove light surface rust.
In a museum the metal parts of firearms are waxed with a neutral PH wax. Oil attracts dirt and dust and this attracts moisture and starts the rust.

I had the same problem and live in Ontario, and we have Ottawa, which is of course the capital of hot moist air. My dies and press were starting to show some light rusting so I just wiped everything down with some Butch's gun oil and things have been perfect since. I'll do it again once a year to keep everything looking shiny.
