I bought an 858 from Wanstalls in Maple Ridge. The last round would jam and the inside of the barrel did not look very clean either.
I took it back and they were great and just switched it out for another one at no charge. The new one works fine and the barrel is perfect.
I asked them about the status of the guns and they said they are not new but refurbished. My advice is if you have a local store check the gun out first before you buy it.
