Still seems too warm but its also getitng late in the season so they may be rutting. I haven't been out in the field for the last few weeks but according to my hunting buddy we are getting more movement on our trail cams but still not during shooting light.

Not a single sign in 64A... Way to damn warm IMHO!!! I have my trail cameras out & I am going to call the landowner tonight to see if he is getting anything on camera. He's checking the cameras for me!!!

Fingers crossed boys, fingers crossed!

Cheers

When is the time to use grunt calls and Rattle bags, this is my first year in the SG hunt and first deer too.

Do you call and rattle in the rut or is it best to not do that in the rut. I am not pushing any bush, just sitting against a few trees in the morning and afternoon. Could not afford a tree stand this year.

Thanks for anyhelp guys, SG opens up monday in norfolk.

In WMU 57 breeding started on or about November 18,lots of buck and doe activity on the trail cam in the last week.
I think by next week we will be into the post rut with the bucks looking for the last of the hot does.

Out scouting on weekend saw 11 deer in am moving and actually saw two big bucks going at it. It was dead in the early november hunt and bow hunting last few weeks slow so I think it is coming on now.Seeing alot more deer in last week than earlier.

I'll be in 62 just outside of Tamworth. I was up for rifle, found one scrape and one rub over the two weeks. Lots of pic's of bucks on the trail cam at night but only saw does during the day. I did get a few pic's of an 8 point the last Saturday of rifle (3:00 am), his heck looked like it was ready to burst so maybe they'll all be in the rut by now. Last year the rut was late as well, I have pic's of a fawn still in spots from August this year.
