Does anyone know where in Canada to get RWS products such as .300Win Mag brass?

I'm looking for some quality brass and Lapua doesn't list 300wm anymore.

Thanks.

Quality brass name is Lapua and Norma. RWS brass is very soft, much softer than Federal....

That is not my experience, I have 404 RWS brass that I have fireformed and found it to be excellent brass. I would say Norma is softer than any of the others out there, from my experience.

My experience is with 9,3X64 RWS brass. In mid 90' I had old Mauser in 9,3X64 and couldn't get much more performance with any reasonable reloads than with my 35 Whelen AI, so I sold it. RWS is the only brass suplyier for 9,3X64 cal ( $2,50 per one ) and I had problem with loose primer pockets even after starting 2-3 reloads . In JUNE1998 I found out why, reading Shooting Times article by Rick Jamison about brass hardness. Long story short, his results on Rockwell B scale was:American Eagle-87, RWS Germany-82, Eldorado Nevada PMC-86, Federal-87, Hornady-87, IMI-88, Lapua-86, Norma-90, PMC Korea-87, Remington-93, Sako-86, Speer Nitrex-88, Winchester-88.
With all due respect bigbul, Norma is one of the hardest brass avaiable, Weatherby wouldn't use any other brass and ammo for their stiff 65 000 +PSI loads.

I don't dispute your experience or Jamisons findings on that particular days test, but I stand my ground, for that has been my experience with RWS.
I will also state for the record that Norma brass in my experience is soft and the primer pockets go to heck after a couple of firings at least in the calibers I have used (308 Win., 300 Dakota, 330 Dakota and 358 Win.)

Higginsons Powders is advertising new 300 Win Mag Norma brass ( stamped- Browning ) for $24per 50pc. You cannot do better than that anywhere.

Perfect,

Missed that when I looked earlier I'm sure its better then the Hornady or Winchester stuff I was going to buy.

Thanks for the tip.

I think RWS vs Norma brass is now over. RUAG Ammotec (who owns RWS) bought Norma from Dynamit Nobel back in 2002. Those two companies used to share brass production anyways. Norma made (and still does) quite a big bunch of magnum brass for many other companies, including Federal, Weatherby, Winchester and much more.
