How about one of the best performing slugs made for use on wildlife?
Thier Classic Slug design with the felt wad screwed to the base of the slug is virtually unchanged since 1932.
It has a reputation for the best penetrating slug in North America.

Two company entities, one Brenneke USA, not as of yet approved by NRCAN for import from the USA. Rumour is this is mostly just a really big warehouse that pretty much sells the European slug out of Iowa.
The other source RWS, that sells the Rottweill Brenneke, a European source for the original German designed slug, (many others too) been legal for import here for many years and always in demand.
I think this is pretty darn close to the truth.
 
I've placed an email to RWS Rottweil looking for clarification on the "Exact" slug. Hoping to get an answer... if I do I'll share it here.

Either way, the Exact has a "Gualandi" style slug. The more research I do on it to more I find it is NO light-weight slug... this thing is mean and seems (on surface) to be a good alternative to the "Brenneke" style.
 
i went with the exact from sportslodge.ca and they should work as well, would rather had Challengers being canadian made and from what i've read they'd do the job very similarly

Just realized I've got a box of 10 Challenger slugs I bought at Cabela's one day.
They must be good; I didn't realize until I got home they were almost $20 a box
 
Tried the Rottweil made Bernneke slugs on the weekend. MUCH better than Federal, Winchester, Remington or any of the otehr Foster type slugs I tried in this gun. Will shjoot 1" groups at 50 yeaards and 3-4" at 100. They also shoot to the same POI as the rifle barrel on this drilling, at least out of the left barrel

Will use 173 grain rifle round in the 7x57R barrel, Brenneke in the left shotgun barrel and 00 Buck in the right shotgun barrel for Hogs. The rifle barrel will hold a 2" group at 200 yards with factory Sellier and Bellot 173 grain bullets at 2200 fps, and right around an inch with 140 grain handloads at 2550 fps. Should make an awesome pig gun.
 
I tried Rottweil Exact with gualandi bullet and Challengers. Rottweil is better. Please bring them to Canada!
 
I believe the slugs that ammosupply is selling is a brenneke style slug made here in Canada. They had a 200 round box for $159 with free shipping.
