RWS Primers performance

I have no experience on reloading with RWS primers. I have, however. shot RWS factory ammo quite a bit. They all went to target. Never got a dud in +550 medium calibre rounds through hunting rifles.

...just when I wuz feelin good...lmao ... guess ya gotta take the good with the bad for sure. It's all good, relevant data and reference info. Appreciate it all fellas !! Thanks for posting sharing. Kevin

Can you try them in a different rifle? Guns vary a lot in firing pin aggressiveness. Some of mine are babies that require the softer primers, others will light anything.

I have some RWS Berdan type primers. They're hard. They work fine in my milsurps but I get unacceptable velocity deviations in a couple of commercial sporters I've shot that ammo through. One is a Husqvarna chambered for the 8x57.

I haven't had any failure to fire issues or indications of hang fires, but there's still what appears to be a consistent ignition issue, that isn't there in the milsurps.
