I have an idea. Buy a springfield. problem solved. or an h&k .45. the barrel on an h&k .45 is tested to 2000 of +P with out failure. thats high standard. to be specific . the h&k .45 usp was based off of the h&k marc23

Wolff springs I think makes different lbs. springs for 1911.
Don't know if Wolverine carries them but Wolff lists Commander recoil springs right up to 27 pounds. I think I read on CGN that Wolf exports to Canada but am not sure. You would have to call them. If you're using +P ammo I would definitely go to a heavier spring (at least 20-22 pounds). Factory is 18 pounds.
